NATURAL LIGHTING IN DOUBLE HEIGHT SPACE

The picture showing the double height space near duplex stairs of an Independent Villa. Natural light is healthy and Fresh. A good architect design's the space giving the prominent importance to the Nature in terms of Lighting and Ventilation.

The window here is the fixed window designed in the form of Multiple Squares using an Etched Glass.

We deliberately chosed etched glass for Privacy from the neighbor windows and welcoming required light. The window dimensions are adjusted accordingly.

Most of the two floor independent houses in India usually have a double height of approx. 20 feet at the stars. Many houses are badly designed double heights in terms of utility, optimization of space, lighting etc.

PAINT STAINS ON TEAK WOOD DOOR

While painting the interior walls of a room it is most common that paint stains fall on the wood furniture/wood flooring/wood doors/wood cupboards.

The excitement of the freshly painted room/house will be hindered by the ugly looking paint stains all over the wood furniture inside the room. Removing the paint marks wood surface is a tiring process.

Here's one simple DIY suggestion which works effectively in removing such stains.

Illustration:

Wood used in picture - Original Indian Teak
Wood Polish - PU polish (Polyurethane)
Paint used for walls - Water based luxury emulsion.

To remove such paint stains using light acetone based liquid like nail-enamel remover will work wonders. Gentle rub on the stains with cotton/cloth dipped in acetone liquid/nail enamel remover.
However, using good quality nail-enamel remover is recommended and avoid using duplicate/local brands.
